Fuji Speedway, located in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, is a circuit that hosts international motorsports events such as F1.
It is 4.56 km long and has 16 corners.
The IONIQ 5N, which was selected as the official electric vehicle for the circuit, will be used as the lead car on the circuit for one year from August 1 of this year to July 31 of next year. It will also be used for various purposes such as leading the event hosted by Fuji Speedway and as a racing taxi for visiting customers.
The IONIQ 5N is the first EV model of Hyundai Motor Company's high-performance brand N, and will enter the Japanese market in June 2024.
A Fuji Speedway official said, "With the IONIQ 5N selected as the official electric vehicle for the circuit, more people will be able to experience the driving performance of EV vehicles."
A Hyundai Mobility Japan official said, "Customers visiting Fuji Speedway and Japanese motorsports fans will be able to experience the appeal of Hyundai Motor Company's high-performance brand N and the IONIQ 5N," and added, "We will strive to provide the joy of driving through the IONIQ 5N and help Japanese customers become more familiar with EV vehicles."
