Hyundai Mobis wins three major design awards with AALS technology

Hyundai Mobis has won the main prize at all three major design awards in the world, showcasing innovative technology and future-oriented design.
The company announced that its 'AALS' technology, which combines aerodynamic performance improvement technology and a new concept lamp system, won the main prize at the iF Design Award and Red Dot Design Award in Germany, and the IDEA Award in the United States.
This is the first case in which a product launched by Hyundai Mobis has won all three major design awards in the world.

The Active Aero Lighting System (AALS) is a convergence technology that combines aerodynamic performance and a moving lamp system. Aerodynamic performance effectively controls the airflow of a vehicle to enhance driving performance and stability, and plays an important role in improving fuel efficiency and power consumption.

The moving lamp combines movement and light to create a lively vehicle image. In particular, AALS has a unique structure that allows the rear lamps hidden in the body to appear smoothly when the rear spoiler is deployed.

Hyundai Mobis said that this award was a result of recognition of innovation and differentiation in terms of vehicle function improvement and design. In order to differentiate the product competitiveness of future mobility, synergy between technology and design is important. It said that it will continuously strengthen its design capabilities along with the development of new technologies.
