At the Canadian International Auto Show held in Toronto, Canada, the G80 electrified model was selected as the '2024 Canadian Electric Vehicle of the Year' and the GV70 electrified model was selected as the '2024 Canadian Electric Vehicle Utility of the Year'.
This year's Canadian Car of the Year was announced in four categories: passenger car, utility, electric vehicle passenger vehicle, and electric vehicle utility. Among these, Genesis was selected in two categories, electric vehicle passenger vehicle and electric vehicle utility, and achieved the feat of winning both electric vehicle categories.
In particular, in the 2024 Canadian electric vehicle utility category, a total of three models from Hyundai Motor Group, including the Genesis GV70 electrified model, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Kia EV9, were finalists and proved their high product competitiveness.
The judges recognized the G80 electric model as an electric vehicle with an elegant exterior, well-appointed interior, and stable driving performance, and the GV70 electric model was evaluated as worthy of attention for its high quality and quiet and powerful driving performance.
