Hyundai Motor Company climbed to the top of the podium for the second time this year by lifting the championship trophy in the 4th round Brazil race of the '2024 TCR World Tour', the world's top touring car competition.
Norbert Michelisz, who competed in the New Elantra N TCR race car, crossed the finish line fastest and won the second final race held on the 21st.
The TCR World Tour is a 'customer racing' competition in which professional racing teams that purchase the manufacturer's race cars participate, while direct participation by the manufacturer is prohibited.
Up to 650 drivers are participating in each TCR Series competition, with 40 competitions worldwide, including continental and national competitions.
Among them, the TCR World Tour, the global top competition, will consist of a total of seven rounds this year, starting with the opening round held in Italy, followed by this race in Brazil, and then races will be held in Uruguay, China, and Macau.
Til Battenberg, managing director of Hyundai Motor Company's N Brand & Motorsports Division, said, "Following the Italian race, the opening round of the TCR World Tour, we are happy to be able to live up to the expectations of our fans by winning in Brazil," and added, "The Elantra N TCR achieved good results in the remaining races as well. “We will publicize the excellence of racing cars,” he said.
