6 out of 10 Hyundai/Kia vehicles in France are 'eco-friendly vehicles'

Hyundai/Kia sold 28,354 eco-friendly vehicles in France in the first half of this year.
This accounts for 59.9% of total sales in France, including internal combustion engine vehicles.

By brand, Hyundai's eco-friendly vehicle share was 62.4%, while Kia's was 57.5%. In the case of Hyundai, sales of the Kona Hybrid increased by 31.4% year-on-year due to the launch of the second-generation completely changed model.

Kia's Niro Hybrid and Sportage Hybrid sales increased by 80.3% and 29.1%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
Thanks to the increase in sales of the two models, Kia's eco-friendly vehicle sales in France increased by 11.1% year-on-year.

Hyundai and Kia plan to further increase the share of eco-friendly vehicles by introducing new electric vehicles in Europe.

Casper Electric is a light vehicle by European standards, while Kia EV3 is a compact electric vehicle.
Major European cities with a long history have narrow roads and not many parking spaces, so there is a high demand for compact electric vehicles.

Kia's EV3, like the EV6 and EV9, is an electric vehicle based on a dedicated platform. According to European certification standards, the range on a single charge is over 600 km. You can travel from Paris, France to Geneva, Switzerland without charging.

Meanwhile, Kia will participate in the Paris Motor Show in October to exhibit its strategic models, including the EV3.

This is the first time Kia has participated in the Paris Motor Show in six years since 2018.
Expectations for eco-friendly vehicles in the future are expected to increase.
