Hyundai Motor Company launches a new compact truck ‘2024 Porter 2’ equipped with an LPG turbo engine.
The new Porter 2 features a new LPG turbo engine that improves power performance and economy, and enhances infotainment and convenience features to improve overall marketability.
Hyundai Motor Company installed the newly developed Smartstream LPG 2.5 turbo engine in the new Porter 2.
The application of a turbocharger improves torque at low speeds and increases output by 24 horsepower compared to a diesel engine, providing excellent power performance with a maximum output of 159 horsepower.
The relatively low price of LPG and improved fuel efficiency make it possible to reduce fuel costs by about 700,000 won per year compared to existing diesel models, making it excellent economic feasibility, and securing the same level of eco-friendliness as hybrid vehicles by reducing fine dust and nitrogen oxide emissions.
Hyundai Motor Company has further strengthened its marketability by applying the infotainment and convenience features that are highly preferred by customers to each trim as standard in the new Porter 2.
The general audio system, steering wheel audio remote control, auto light control, and triple turn signals that were applied to the existing upper trim were applied as standard to the entry-level Style trim.
In addition, heated rear glass, which was only applied to the top premium trim, was standardized in the Modern trim, and convenience was enhanced by applying an 8-inch display audio, rear monitor, and first-row USB charger as standard to the premium trim.
In addition, a new 'Navigation Package' was added, which includes a 10.25-inch navigation system, wireless navigation update, button start & smart key, and full automatic air conditioning, and safety was improved by applying a seatbelt pretensioner as standard.
